Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a pastry cook or similar role in fine-dining, luxury hotels, or high-volume bakery environments
- Food handler certification required
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining precision and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Willingness to comply with food safety standards such as HACCP and ServSafe
- Ability to collaborate effectively with culinary and service teams
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a pastry cook or similar role in fine-dining, luxury hotels, or high-volume bakery environments
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, chocolate work, and dessert presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining precision and attention to detail
- Familiarity with modern dessert trends and plating techniques is a plus
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Culinary or pastry school training preferred
- Food handler certification required
Job Duties
- Prepare and execute a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and confections according to recipes and production schedules
- Assist in developing and testing new recipes, menu items, and seasonal creations under the guidance of the Executive Pastry Chef
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation in all pastry items served to guests
- Maintain proper storage, rotation, and labeling of ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Keep workstations, equipment, and tools clean and sanitized, adhering to food safety standards (HACCP, ServSafe, or equivalent)
- Support pastry team during service periods, banquets, and special events
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or quality issues to the Executive Pastry Chef
- Collaborate with culinary and service teams to meet the expectations of a luxury hotel clientele
- Perform any other duties as assigned
