Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience in a pastry kitchen
  • positive energy and team player attitude
  • ability to understand and follow basic baking instructions
  • effective communication skills
  • flexible schedule to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand and walk for long periods and perform occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling or lifting

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year experience in a pastry kitchen preparing and cooking
  • positive energy and readiness to assist support staff
  • ability to speak, read and understand basic baking and cooking directions
  • effective communication skills with managers, employees, and guests
  • flexible schedule availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk constantly with occasional stooping and lifting

Job Duties

  • Prepare all dessert and baked good items on the menu using standard recipe cards
  • adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies
  • perform other duties assigned by Pastry Chef or manager-on-duty
  • complete daily prep list and closing checklist for each shift
  • maintain a clean and sanitary work station and equipment in compliance with health regulations
  • promptly report product shortages, equipment issues, or food quality concerns
  • assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
