Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Four years experience in bakery production preferred
- Culinary/pastry certification preferred
- Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical demands of the job
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures
- Good communication skills to consult with supervisors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Four years experience in bakery production preferred
- Culinary/pastry certification preferred
- Proven ability to create and produce superior quality products
Job Duties
- Produce sweet items, pastries, cakes, fruit compotes and chocolates
- Prepare baked goods including bread
- Keep up pars and have all production ready in a timely manner with regards to quality
- Maintain a professional attitude, demeanor and appearance with proper uniform and footwear at all times
- Practice and abide by all Omni Hotels’ rules and regulations, safety and sanitation policies at all times
- Consult your supervisor if unsure of a particular task
- Work hours may vary as the hotel is open 24/7
- Store all items in approved containers that are wrapped, dated and labeled
- Be at your work station on time and follow time clock procedures
- Sign in and out on authorized forms with supervisor’s initials
- Clean all small equipment immediately after use
- Ensure outlet items are produced on time and to specifications
- Take daily inventory and make requisitions for daily production
- Date and label all items going into freezer and walk-in
- Rotate oldest stock out first and check with chef if freshness is questionable
