Job Requirements

  • Valid Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift
  • Previous customer service or retail experience preferred
  • Must be able to operate professional pastry equipment
  • Must adhere to company cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Flexible availability to work varied shifts and weekends

Job Duties

  • Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully-stocked cases
  • Support team with baking various breads, cookies, and desserts, including pan dulce
  • Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety
  • Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of all pastry products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
  • Work with various professional pastry equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders
  • Take food orders in person and by telephone
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
