Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • bachelor's degree in culinary arts, hospitality, wine studies or related field preferred
  • must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
  • flexible schedule including availability on weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • valid U.S. passport
  • ability to travel up to 10% for training or events
  • able to work in normal office environment
  • must be flexible in work style, location and schedule
  • travel up to 30%
  • commitment to food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • WSET Level 2 certification preferred
  • culinary degree or certification and current ServSafe certification required
  • proven experience in hospitality, event coordination, or guest services
  • wine industry experience strongly preferred
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • demonstrated financial acumen including budgeting and cost control
  • flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and evenings
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to brand standards
  • culinary degree with specialization in baking/pastry arts preferred
  • minimum 3 years' experience in professional pastry or bakery kitchen
  • experience in fine dining or wine industry a plus
  • expertise in classic and contemporary pastry techniques
  • strong understanding of wine and food pairing principles
  • ability to develop innovative dessert menus and modern plating styles
  • excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • familiarity with inventory management and budgeting
  • strong verbal and written communication
  • experience training and mentoring staff
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory/reservation systems a plus
  • commitment to ongoing professional development

Job Duties

  • Create and present exceptional desserts, pastries, and baked goods that complement wine offerings
  • design dessert menus tailored to enhance guest experiences and wine pairings
  • manage pastry kitchen operations, including production schedules, ingredient sourcing, and inventory control
  • maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and presentation
  • collaborate with culinary and hospitality teams to deliver seamless guest experiences for events and private bookings
  • adapt dessert offerings based on guest feedback and preferences
  • ensure adherence to operational procedures, portion control, and cost management practices
