Job Requirements

- food handler's certification preferred

Job Qualifications
- 2-3 years of progressive pastry experience with 1-2 years of bake shop management experience preferably in a large volume environment
- basic knowledge of profit and loss, food cost/inventory management, recipe costing, kitchen sanitation, and food safety regulations
- prior experience across multiple pastry mediums such as bread making, sugar artistry, and cake design
- prior banquet event order (BEO) experience preferred
- passion for pastry operations
Job Duties
- work with the pastry team to produce quality pastries and service
- use proper procedures and techniques for the creation of attractive, professional pastry items
- inspect all bakery items upon completion to ensure they have been prepared correctly and attractively
- collaborate effectively with pastry team to foster a positive environment
- assist with day-to-day pastry production and operations with a focus on conventions
- act as second-in-command in the absence of the executive pastry chef
- guide, support, and inspire associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences
