Job Requirements

  • strong leadership and communication skills

  • willingness to work flexible hours
  • food handler's certification preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of progressive pastry experience with 1-2 years of bake shop management experience preferably in a large volume environment
  • basic knowledge of profit and loss, food cost/inventory management, recipe costing, kitchen sanitation, and food safety regulations
  • prior experience across multiple pastry mediums such as bread making, sugar artistry, and cake design
  • prior banquet event order (BEO) experience preferred
  • passion for pastry operations

Job Duties

  • work with the pastry team to produce quality pastries and service
  • use proper procedures and techniques for the creation of attractive, professional pastry items
  • inspect all bakery items upon completion to ensure they have been prepared correctly and attractively
  • collaborate effectively with pastry team to foster a positive environment
  • assist with day-to-day pastry production and operations with a focus on conventions
  • act as second-in-command in the absence of the executive pastry chef
  • guide, support, and inspire associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences
