Job Requirements
- degree in hotel, restaurant management preferred
- minimum of 5 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant environment
- minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume preparation environment
- ability to be present at work assigned schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours
- ability to remain on feet for an entire shift
- ability to lift, move, maneuver up to 50 lbs
- practice safe work habits
- must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends and holidays
- must be able to work in a team environment
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- assist with the development of standardized recipes for all menu items
- ensure that recipes are accurate and updated as needed
- ensure that all food products prepared meet the established specifications and standards
- ensure proper levels of bakery and pastry items are prepared based on forecasted needs and their prompt delivery to the designated outlet
- assign tasks effectively for the efficient use of allocated labor ensuring maximum results
- responsible for complete set up, cleanliness and organization of the pastry department and bakery areas
- bake fresh pastries, desserts and bread for all outlets
- act as a manager, team leader and motivator for the pastry department
- recommend measures to improve production, service methods, equipment performance, scheduling and quality control
- ensure a sanitary, neat, clean, organized, safe, comfortable environment
- review menu items and make changes as necessary
- ensure that kitchen equipment is clean and in working order
- create recipe cards for all menu items and train bakers
- assist the executive chef with annual budget process
- facilitate all health, safety, sanitary rules, regulations and standards
- attend all meetings and training sessions as required
- perform other duties as assigned
