Job Requirements

  • Experience working as a pastry chef in a high-volume or upscale restaurant environment
  • Proficiency in traditional and contemporary pastry techniques
  • Ability to lead and mentor kitchen staff effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Pastry experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of traditional pastry fundamentals including lamination, sugar work, and ice cream production
  • Bread baking skills including mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking a variety of breads and crackers
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and adept at multitasking
  • Professionalism, leadership, and a team-first mindset

Job Duties

  • Lead the pastry program with creativity, discipline, and a focus on excellence
  • Collaborate on menu development with ownership and the culinary leadership team
  • Manage daily bread, pastry, and dessert production with attention to quality and presentation
  • Train and mentor staff in traditional and modern pastry techniques
  • Maintain consistency in execution, cleanliness, and organization
  • Partner with the savory team to ensure balance and cohesion across the entire menu
