Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior pastry chef experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant
  • strong foundational knowledge of classic and modern pastry techniques
  • ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organizational standards

Job Qualifications

  • Pastry experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant
  • strong knowledge of traditional pastry fundamentals including lamination, sugar work, and ice cream production
  • bread baking skills including mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking a variety of breads and crackers
  • detail-oriented, highly organized, and adept at multitasking
  • professionalism, leadership, and a team-first mindset

Job Duties

  • Lead the pastry program with creativity, discipline, and a focus on excellence
  • collaborate on menu development with ownership and the culinary leadership team
  • manage daily bread, pastry, and dessert production with attention to quality and presentation
  • train and mentor staff in traditional and modern pastry techniques
  • maintain consistency in execution, cleanliness, and organization
  • partner with the savory team to ensure balance and cohesion across the entire menu
