Job Requirements

  • Experience in pastry arts in an upscale restaurant environment
  • Knowledge of traditional pastry techniques including lamination and sugar work
  • Ability to manage bread baking processes including mixing, proofing, and baking
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Availability to work in Savannah, Georgia

Job Qualifications

  • Pastry experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of traditional pastry fundamentals including lamination, sugar work, and ice cream production
  • Bread baking skills: mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking a variety of breads and crackers
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and adept at multitasking
  • Professionalism, leadership, and a team-first mindset

Job Duties

  • Lead the pastry program with creativity, discipline, and a focus on excellence
  • Collaborate on menu development with ownership and the culinary leadership team
  • Manage daily bread, pastry, and dessert production with attention to quality and presentation
  • Train and mentor staff in traditional and modern pastry techniques
  • Maintain consistency in execution, cleanliness, and organization
  • Partner with the savory team to ensure balance and cohesion across the entire menu
