Job Requirements

  • Pastry experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant
  • Knowledge of traditional pastry techniques such as lamination, sugar work, and ice cream production
  • Bread baking skills including mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Ability to lead and mentor staff
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for culinary excellence and innovation

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a pastry chef in an upscale, high-volume restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of traditional pastry fundamentals including lamination, sugar work, and ice cream production
  • Skilled in bread baking including mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking a variety of breads and crackers
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Professionalism and leadership skills with a team-first mindset

Job Duties

  • Lead the pastry program with creativity, discipline, and a focus on excellence
  • Collaborate on menu development with ownership and the culinary leadership team
  • Manage daily bread, pastry, and dessert production with attention to quality and presentation
  • Train and mentor staff in traditional and modern pastry techniques
  • Maintain consistency in execution, cleanliness, and organization
  • Partner with the savory team to ensure balance and cohesion across the entire menu
