Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in pastry or baking
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Effective leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a pastry chef or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of pastry preparation techniques and food safety standards
  • Ability to develop and execute seasonal pastry menus
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Excellent organizational and inventory management abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity and attention to detail in dessert presentation

Job Duties

  • Supervises and participates in the preparation of pastries and desserts
  • Develops menu for baked items
  • Relays feedback of kitchen employees to department manager
  • Provides input for creation of baked goods
  • Completes daily food production sheets and other reports
  • Inspects orders to ensure high quality and presentation
  • Creates signature pastries, desserts and daily specials with approval from Executive Chef
