Job Requirements

  • Production and fine dining experience required
  • ability to work full-time or part-time with availability nights and weekends
  • must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • compliance with use of safety equipment such as cut gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques
  • eligible to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Production and fine dining experience
  • knowledge of pastry production techniques and kitchen management
  • ability to supervise and lead a team
  • strong organizational skills
  • experience with food safety and sanitation standards
  • culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervises the daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts and baked goods
  • ensures recipes and standards are followed, food costs are controlled and appropriate quantity is prepared based on established production needs
  • ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • monitors and controls the maintenance and sanitation of the pastry kitchen and equipment to ensure a work environment that meets or exceeds federal, state and corporate standards and regulations
  • supervises hourly kitchen and pastry associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews and recommending disciplinary action, as appropriate
  • helps plan and implement seasonal menus
  • orders and maintains pastry supplies and products to ensure appropriate inventory levels
  • performs other duties as assigned
