Job Requirements
- Previous pastry experience required
- Open availability including weekends
- Ability to supervise and lead a team
- Knowledge of federal, state and corporate sanitation regulations
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain quality standards
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work full-time schedule
Job Qualifications
- Previous pastry experience
- Fine dining, restaurant, hotel or resort experience preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to plan and implement seasonal menus
- Experience managing kitchen inventory and supplies
Job Duties
- Create, plan and supervise daily production of pastries, desserts, and baked goods
- Ensure recipes and standards are followed
- Control food costs and manage portion sizes
- Maintain proper food handling, presentation, and serving temperatures
- Monitor sanitation and maintenance of pastry kitchen and equipment
- Supervise kitchen/pastry associates including training and scheduling
- Order and manage pastry supplies inventory
