Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or equivalent in a Michelin-starred or fine dining environment
  • Familiarity with classical and modern pastry techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Culinary or pastry arts degree preferred but not required
  • Valid NYC Food Handlers certification

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or equivalent in a Michelin-starred or fine dining environment
  • Strong knowledge of classical and modern pastry techniques, chocolate work, and plated dessert design
  • Demonstrated success in high-volume production without compromising quality
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and contribute to creative menu development
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Culinary or pastry arts degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
  • NYC Food Handlers certification required

Job Duties

  • Execute the daily production of plated desserts, pastries, breads, and specialty items in alignment with culinary standards and the Senior Pastry Chef vision
  • Maintain consistency, precision, and artistic presentation in all pastry products at a Michelin-level standard
  • Work collaboratively within a high-volume kitchen environment, balancing efficiency and quality under pressure
  • Adapt techniques and recipes to meet evolving client needs, dietary restrictions, and menu innovations
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all pastry ingredients and finished products
  • Assist the Senior Pastry Chef in developing seasonal menus, special event offerings, and large-scale production strategies
  • Uphold rigorous standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines
  • Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence
