Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of professional pastry experience
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Strong physical stamina and dexterity
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a pastry chef or pastry chef de partie in a high-end or luxury hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, dessert presentation, and flavor profiles
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Experience with mise en place and pastry station management
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Creativity and an eye for detail in pastry preparation
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
Job Duties
- Execute mise en place, prep, and service for your assigned pastry station with speed, accuracy, and care
- Ensure every dessert, bread, and other sweet elements meets exact presentation and flavor specifications
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards of the pastry kitchen at all times
- Collaborate closely with fellow pastry cooks and the savory kitchen to ensure timing, cohesion, and guest pacing
- Maintain a strong sense of timing and awareness during service, contributing to seamless kitchen flow
- Participate in daily pastry tastings, kitchen meetings, and post-service debriefs
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff, sharing techniques and fostering a culture of excellence
