Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English to communicate effectively
- 1-2 years of bakery experience including cake decorating, baking, and finishing
- Extended knowledge in patisserie and bakery work
- Ability to work on feet quickly for long hours
- Ability to lift, move, and carry 50 pounds
- Ability to navigate stairs throughout shift
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and split shifts
Job Qualifications

- 1-2 years of experience in bakery including cake decorating, baking, and finishing
- Extensive knowledge of patisserie and bakery techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to maintain high standards of quality and sanitation
- Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and culinary staff
- Capacity to work on feet for extended periods
- Comfortable lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and split shifts
- Arrive to work on time consistently
- Wear company-provided clean and well-maintained uniform
- Maintain clean and appropriate hairstyle following management guidelines
- Attend all required training, safety courses, and departmental meetings
- Report and follow up on safety hazards ensuring a safe work environment
- Use proper portion control techniques to assist in food cost containment
- Be proficient with all relevant bakery equipment and safety features
- Adhere to established sanitation standards
- Taste test products for quality and consistency
- Assist Sous Chef and Executive Chef in preparing daily and future event desserts
- Rotate desserts and inform chefs of any spoilage
- Participate in pre-shift meetings to discuss special orders and new pastry ideas
- Store and properly label all products
- Maintain cleanliness and high sanitation standards in the bake shop
- Check out with Sous Chef or Executive Chef before leaving
- Stay informed and comply with Material Safety Data Sheets and labeling protocols
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Sous Chef and Executive Chef
