Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English effectively
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in bakery including cake decorating, baking, and finishing
  • Knowledge of patisserie and bakery work standards
  • Ability to work long hours on feet
  • Capability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to negotiate stairs during shifts
  • Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and split shifts
  • Professional appearance and grooming
  • Commitment to safety and sanitation procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 1-2 years experience in bakery including cake decorating, baking, and finishing
  • Extensive knowledge of patisserie and bakery practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Familiarity with baking equipment and safety standards
  • Strong commitment to quality and sanitation

Job Duties

  • Work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and split shifts
  • Arrive on time consistently
  • Maintain proper uniform and personal grooming standards
  • Attend required training and safety courses
  • Report and follow up on safety hazards
  • Use proper portion control techniques
  • Be proficient with baking equipment and safety features
  • Adhere to sanitation standards
  • Taste test products for quality and consistency
  • Assist in preparing and supplying desserts for daily service and events
  • Rotate desserts and monitor spoilage
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings to discuss orders and ideas
  • Store and label products properly
  • Keep the bake shop clean and sanitary
  • Check out with sous chef or executive chef before leaving
  • Follow Material Safety Data Sheets and labeling protocols
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by sous chef and executive chef
