Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in bakery including cake decorating and finishing
  • Proficiency in patisserie and baking techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to maintain high sanitation and safety standards
  • Willingness to participate in training and meetings
  • Professional appearance including neat grooming and uniform adherence

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of bakery experience including cake decorating, baking and finishing
  • Knowledge of patisserie and baking work
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work quickly on feet for long hours
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to navigate stairs during shift
  • Strong attention to detail and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and protocols
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and split shifts
  • Arrive to work on time consistently
  • Maintain proper uniform, clean and neat appearance
  • Attend all required training, safety courses and meetings
  • Report and follow up on any safety hazards
  • Use proper portion control to assist food cost containment
  • Operate bakery equipment safely and proficiently
  • Follow set sanitation standards
  • Taste test all products for quality and consistency
  • Assist Sous Chef and Executive Chef in preparing desserts
  • Rotate desserts and report spoilage
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings for special orders and new ideas
  • Store and label all products properly
  • Maintain bake shop cleanliness and high sanitation standards
  • Check out with Sous Chef or Executive Chef before leaving
  • Follow Material Safety Data Sheets and labeling requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Sous Chef and Executive Chef
