Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years professional baking experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- One year of supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of heating, cooling, reheating, and sanitation procedures
Job Qualifications

- Associate's degree in baking and pastry arts or related field preferred
- Minimum of three years previous professional baking experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- One year of previous supervisory experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of correct heating, cooling, reheating, and sanitation procedures
- Skilled in yeast doughs
- Skilled in quick breads
- Skilled in pastry doughs
- Skilled in cookie, pie and cake batters and fillings
- Skilled in custards, creams and mousses
- Skilled in icing, glazes and sauces
- Skilled in frozen desserts
- Skilled in plated desserts
- Skilled in wedding and specialty cake decorations
- Knowledge of conversions, calculations and recipe costing
Job Duties
- Supervise and contribute to daily bakery production including setup and tear down
- Ensure consistently high-quality production of all bakery items
- Train new employees in all aspects of the pastry kitchen
- Ensure strict adherence to sanitation and cleanliness guidelines
- Work closely with all chefs to improve employee morale and conduct employee discipline fairly and consistently
- Assist chefs in maintaining food and labor cost
- Work with chefs to create and implement new menus and specials
- Ensure proper quantities of stock are ordered to allow for production while limiting waste
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned
