Job Requirements

  • Food safety certification
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand or walk for long periods
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Effective communication skills
  • Previous baking experience
  • Compliance with PPE and uniform policies

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a baker or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of baking procedures, criteria, and compliance with sanitation regulations
  • Food safety certification
  • Proficiency in basic math operations and numerical counting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Capability to handle physical responsibilities like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged periods of walking or standing
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) when required

Job Duties

  • Create baked goods according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Arrange your work area with all the essential ingredients and tools needed for baking
  • Complete the necessary steps of quantifying, weighing, blending, chopping, and more to prepare the ingredients
  • Handle baking instruments such as ovens, stoves, and mixers
  • Take precautions to use utensils, like knives, safely and effectively during meal preparation
  • Observe food safety protocols for the correct storage of goods
  • Clean and disinfect workspaces, tools, and utensils once they have been used to promote a hygienic workplace
