Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related area
  • or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related area
  • ability to lead and supervise a team
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • capability to manage budgets and inventory
  • commitment to exceptional guest service
  • ability to work full time and in person at Washington DC location

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years culinary or food and beverage experience
  • or 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 2 years experience

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage pastry culinary team
  • supervise and manage employees and daily operations
  • personally prepare food items and execute specific requests
  • ensure compliance with sanitation and food handling standards
  • develop and design new pastry applications and presentations
  • maintain food storage, purchasing, and portion control standards
  • provide exceptional customer service and improve guest satisfaction
  • train and develop staff on menu items and safety procedures
  • manage budgets and inventories
  • support disciplinary and hiring processes
  • engage in problem-solving and communication with management and human resources
