Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Formal culinary training in baking and pastry arts preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a pastry chef role or similar position
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to handle and resolve conflicts effectively
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a pastry chef or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation
- Ability to innovate and create new pastry products
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Familiarity with sanitation standards and safety regulations
- Competence in scheduling and inventory management
- Strong communication and team coaching abilities
- Experience with vendor management and cost control
Job Duties
- Monitor and maintain quality of all product and presentation
- Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of pastry production areas
- Receive, check and properly store all incoming product
- Know and comply with all sanitation standards
- Schedule pastry and bread production based on business needs and communicate to staff
- Prepare reports as needed including payroll and scheduling
- Review vendor pricing structures and adjust product as needed
- Operate, teach and supervise safe operation of all appliances and equipment
- Handle conflict resolution of guests and staff as needed
