Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • formal culinary training or pastry arts certification preferred
  • minimum of 3 years experience in a pastry chef role
  • strong knowledge of baking procedures and sanitation standards
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments
  • leadership experience

  • Proven experience as a pastry chef or relevant role
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • creativity in pastry design and innovation
  • knowledge of baking techniques and food safety standards
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • ability to train and mentor staff
  • proficiency in scheduling and inventory management
  • familiarity with payroll preparation and vendor management

Job Duties

  • Monitor and maintain quality of all product and presentation
  • oversee all aspects of the daily operation of pastry production areas
  • receive, check and properly store all incoming product
  • know and comply with all sanitation standards
  • schedule pastry and bread production based on business needs and communicate to staff
  • prepare reports as needed including payroll and scheduling
  • review vendor pricing structures and adjust product as needed
  • operate, teach and supervise safe operation of all appliances and equipment
  • handle conflict resolution of guests and staff as needed
