Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years experience in pastry production in a high-volume, upscale restaurant
- Leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and bread making
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Compliance with E-Verify employment eligibility in Arizona
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years pastry experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant
- Leadership experience preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of pastry, bread, and dessert production
- Creative eye for Mediterranean-inspired flavor combinations and plating
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to train and lead a pastry team in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Design and execute a Mediterranean-inspired pastry and dessert menu that aligns with Pinyon's culinary vision
- Lead production of breads, doughs, desserts, and pastries for high-volume service
- Maintain consistency and precision in recipes, presentation, and portion standards
- Train, mentor, and manage pastry team members to uphold excellence across shifts
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership on seasonal menu changes and specials
- Ensure proper inventory, ordering, and cost management for the pastry department
- Uphold food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards across pastry and prep areas
- Adapt quickly to the pace and demands of an extremely high-volume kitchen
