Job Requirements

  • Experience as a pastry chef
  • More than 3 years experience in a pastry kitchen handling preparation and cooking
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative and problem-solving skills
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation principles, baking techniques and nutrition
  • Availability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

  • Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation principles, baking techniques and nutrition

Job Duties

  • Craft a dessert menu that fits the restaurant concept and locale in partnership with the Executive Chef
  • Prepare detailed recipe cards and ensure adherence for consistency
  • Motivate, teach and maintain a positive culture among pastry cooks
  • Communicate openly with chefs and be receptive to feedback and recipe adjustments
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation in compliance with DHEC regulations
  • Report product shortages, equipment problems, or food quality issues to the Executive Chef promptly
  • Participate in employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
  • Ensure the guest experience is prioritized in all tasks
