Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or formal pastry training preferred
  • Proven pastry leadership experience in restaurants, catering, and events driven environments
  • Ability to manage production schedules, inventory, and food cost controls
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and allergen protocols
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and events
  • Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Proven pastry leadership experience in restaurants, catering, and events driven environments
  • Strong foundation in classical and contemporary pastry techniques
  • Experience supporting high volume events and multi outlet operations
  • Ability to manage production schedules, inventory, and food cost controls
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols
  • Culinary degree or formal pastry training preferred
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and events

Job Duties

  • Lead all pastry and dessert production for cafes, restaurants, catering, and special events
  • Develop seasonal and event driven dessert menus aligned with the MFA brand and Restaurant Associates standards
  • Execute high volume production while maintaining consistency, quality, and refined presentation
  • Partner with culinary and events teams on plated desserts, passed sweets, buffets, and custom event menus
  • Manage ordering, inventory, food cost, and waste controls for the pastry program
  • Ensure all pastry operations meet food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and allergen standards
  • Train, supervise, and mentor pastry team members, fostering accountability and growth
  • Support evening, weekend, and special event execution as required by the events calendar
