Job Requirements

  • Production and fine dining experience required
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time schedules including nights and weekends
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Compliance with company safety policies including use of gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Ability to manage staff including interviewing, scheduling and training
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in production and fine dining pastry settings
  • Ability to supervise and lead kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Skills in menu planning and inventory management
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary training or pastry arts certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervises the daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts and baked goods
  • Ensures recipes and standards are followed, food costs are controlled and appropriate quantity is prepared based on established production needs
  • Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • Monitors and controls the maintenance and sanitation of the pastry kitchen and equipment to ensure a work environment that meets or exceeds federal, state and corporate standards and regulations
  • Supervises hourly kitchen/pastry associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews and recommending disciplinary action, as appropriate
  • Helps plan and implement seasonal menus
  • Orders and maintains pastry supplies and products to ensure appropriate inventory levels
  • Performs other duties as assigned
