Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a successful pastry chef
  • 3+ years of experience in a pastry kitchen handling preparation and cooking
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative with a problem-solving approach
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation, sanitation principles, baking techniques and nutrition
  • Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Expertly craft dessert menu fitting with concept and locale while partnering with Executive Chef
  • Prepare detailed recipe cards and ensure team uses them consistently
  • Motivate, teach and maintain a positive culture among pastry cooks by sharing inspiration and ideas
  • Communicate freely with other chefs and be receptive to feedback and recipe adjustments
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station adhering to health regulations
  • Report product shortages, equipment problems or food quality issues promptly
  • Participate in scheduled employee meetings offering suggestions for improvement
  • Ensure the guest experience is the top priority in all efforts
