Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 3 years baking experience in relevant settings
  • ability to obtain a Food Handlers card
  • willing to participate in and pass HACCP training
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • capable of understanding recipes and measurements
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • effective communication skills
  • must be at least 18 years old per Bureau of Labor & Industry regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years baking experience in restaurants, catering, or healthcare kitchens
  • ability to understand and follow instructions in English
  • proficient in simple arithmetic and measurements
  • knowledge of basic kitchen equipment operations
  • able to plan and organize work efficiently
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • must be at least 18 years old

Job Duties

  • Prepare breakfast pastries in a timely manner
  • produce lunch and dinner desserts according to menu specifications
  • ensure quality and presentation of all baked goods
  • follow recipes, measurements, and conversion instructions accurately
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry work areas
  • communicate effectively with kitchen staff and supervisors
  • instruct service and utility staff as needed
