Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • proven experience as pastry chef, baker or similar role
  • experience in private clubs, high-end resorts or fine dining
  • strong knowledge of pastry techniques and baking methods
  • creativity and attention to detail in flavor pairing and presentation
  • ability to organize workloads and meet deadlines
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • ability to follow oral and written directions
  • ability to multitask and handle stressful situations
  • servsafe certified
  • willingness to learn and adapt to new job tasks
  • ability to maintain knowledge of standard recipes and culinary techniques and procedures

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • prepare and turn out high-quality pastries, desserts and baked goods
  • design seasonal and event-specific dessert menus with the executive chef
  • ensure consistency and excellence in pastry production from baking to plating
  • provide detailed recipes and hands-on training for junior staff
  • manage daily operations of the pastry department including ordering, food prep and plating
  • oversee inventory levels to maintain product freshness and reduce waste
  • maintain hygiene standards and ensure fresh product rotation
