Job Requirements

  • proven experience as a successful pastry chef
  • three plus years of experience in a pastry kitchen handling preparation and cooking
  • must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • strong attention to detail
  • creative with a problem-solving approach
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • extensive knowledge of food preparation, sanitation principles, baking techniques and nutrition

Job Duties

  • craft dessert menus fitting restaurant concepts and locales while collaborating with executive chefs
  • prepare detailed recipe cards and ensure pastry cooks follow them
  • mentor and motivate pastry team to foster a positive culture
  • communicate openly with kitchen staff and adapt recipes based on feedback
  • maintain clean and sanitary workstations in compliance with DHEC regulations
  • report product shortages, equipment problems, or food quality issues promptly
  • participate in employee meetings and contribute improvement suggestions
  • prioritize guest experience in all tasks
