Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a pastry chef or baker
  • Prior experience in private clubs or fine dining establishments
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Ability to organize workloads and meet deadlines
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations
  • ServSafe certified
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • Ability to maintain knowledge of standard recipes and culinary techniques

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree in culinary arts preferred
  • Proven experience as a pastry chef, baker or similar role
  • Prior experience in private clubs, high-end resorts or fine dining establishments
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods and kitchen equipment
  • Creativity and attention to detail in flavor pairing and presentation
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
  • ServSafe certification

Job Duties

  • Prepare and turn out high-quality pastries, desserts and baked goods
  • Design seasonal and event-specific dessert menus in collaboration with the executive chef
  • Oversee daily operations of the pastry department including ordering, food prep and plating
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure product freshness and reduce waste
  • Provide detailed recipes and hands-on training to junior staff
  • Maintain hygiene standards and ensure consistency in pastry production
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, techniques and ingredients
