Job Requirements
- 5+ years of pastry chef experience in a full-service restaurant
- Ability to lead and develop teams
- Skilled in managing back-of-house systems
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience with inventory and food cost control
- Knowledge of recipe management and menu planning
- Capacity to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Lead the opening shift process including food orders, inventory and price updates
- Oversee receiving and storage
- Manage inspections and lead menu changes
- Lead and ensure efficient BOH operations including food prep and cooking
- Supervise kitchen employees and maintain adequate inventory levels
- Provide guidance and leadership to hourly and management teams fostering a Culture of Caring
- Track and control food cost, purchase and order food products and supplies
- Partner with general manager and managers to create prep lists and assign production duties
- Perform regular line checks to ensure quality of menu items
- Review and maintain recipe books with management team
- Communicate food production and timing issues between FOH and BOH
- Interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise and develop BOH employees
- Promote teamwork and collaborate across all teams
- Use tact and good judgment when dealing with challenges
- Work various shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekends and potential overnight travel
- Move and lift supplies up to 50 pounds as necessary
