Job Requirements
- 5+ years of pastry chef experience
- Proven leadership abilities
- Experience managing kitchen operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work varied shifts including early mornings, late nights and weekends
- Physical ability to move and lift heavy items

- Skilled in managing back-of-house systems
Job Duties
- Lead the opening shift process including food orders, inventory and price updates
- Receive and store supplies
- Oversee inspections
- Lead and manage menu changes
- Direct and ensure efficient back-of-house operations including food prep and cooking
- Supervise kitchen employees
- Provide leadership to hourly and management teams
- Track and control food cost
- Purchase and order food products and supplies
- Partner with General Manager and designated managers/chefs for prep list creation and staff assignments
- Perform regular line checks to ensure quality
- Maintain recipe books with management
- Communicate effectively between front of house and back of house
- Interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise and develop back-of-house staff
- Promote teamwork across teams
- Address challenges with guests, vendors and employees with tact and patience
- Work varied shifts including early mornings, late nights and weekends
- Move and lift items up to 50 pounds as needed
