Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 18 years of age required
- Must be 21 years of age or older to drive for company business according to BGC Business Driver Policy
- One or more years of cooking related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Food handler certification required

- Attention to safety hazards and appropriate reporting
Job Duties
- Follow recipes to prepare cakes, donuts, cookies, and other pastry products according to customer orders or as needed for display
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, shaping, and scoring them
- Use creativity and culinary knowledge to prepare and decorate pastry products
- Operate commercial baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, dough proofers
- Complete production list and fill out special order requests, as well as package and label products
- Ensure sufficient amount of products and ingredients are in stock and coordinate with inventory personnel to order as needed
- Enforce quality control and food safety standards, stock and rotate dated products properly
- Maintain attractive product presentation by filling bakery trays, display cases, and ingredient bins and rotating products to ensure freshness
- Provide friendly customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, responding to complaints, and assisting in product selection
- Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to company safety procedures
