Job Requirements

  • minimum 3-5 years experience in pastry arts or equivalent
  • valid Food Handlers card
  • strong cake production and decorating skills
  • knowledge of pies, tarts, chocolates, and breakfast pastries
  • experience with upscale a la carte dessert production
  • leadership ability to develop culinary team
  • ability to write standardized recipes
  • ServSafe Food Safety Manager certificate preferred

Job Qualifications

  • minimum 3-5 years experience in pastry chef or equivalent roles
  • expertise in cake production and decorating
  • skills in pie, tart, and chocolate work
  • ability to produce upscale a la carte desserts and breakfast pastries
  • proficiency in writing standardized recipes
  • leadership skills
  • valid Food Handlers card
  • ServSafe Food Safety Manager certificate is a plus

Job Duties

  • leading pastry production and bakery activities at fine dining and bistro outlets
  • overseeing special event and catering dessert preparation
  • creating cakes, pies, tarts, chocolates, and breakfast pastries
  • designing decorative cakes and display pieces
  • standardizing recipes for consistency
  • mentoring and developing culinary team members
  • maintaining quality and hygiene standards in pastry operations
