Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Food preparation knowledge
  • Ability to operate cooking equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret recipes
  • Ability to stand and walk during 6 to 8 hour shifts
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of heat and noise

Job Qualifications

  • At least a year’s training at a culinary institute or previous restaurant training and experience
  • Ability to operate various cooking equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret recipes
  • Food preparation knowledge and line work experience

Job Duties

  • Prepare all pastry items in accordance to company approved recipes
  • Develop new and innovative pastry items to be used as specials or potential new menu items
  • Ensure that all dessert components are fully stocked and prepared for service
  • Follow all safety and health rules for sanitary food handling and kitchen cleanliness
  • Daily set up workstation and keep it neat and clean
  • Assist coworkers to ensure efficient operation of the line
  • Review and comprehend recipes and other necessary documentation
