Job Requirements
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent required, culinary degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in pastry and dessert culinary management
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of local health and safety regulations
- Willingness to maintain high standards of quality and consistency
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a high volume, multi-unit culinary management role
- Proficient knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a collaborative approach
- Creative and detail-oriented with expertise in dessert and pastry crafting
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Open mindset with eagerness to learn and adapt to industry changes
- Professional demeanor with responsiveness to feedback
- Knowledge of current culinary trends and styles
Job Duties
- Craft delicious desserts and pastries for multiple dining outlets including restaurants, in-room dining, and special events
- Lead and manage the pastry section of the kitchen including hiring, training, and performance management
- Develop menus, recipes, and product specifications to ensure quality and consistency
- Collaborate with Food & Beverage and Banquets directors to maintain exceptional culinary standards
- Ensure compliance with kitchen operational standards including timing, sanitation, and food safety
- Innovate with current trends in baking and pastry presentation to enhance the guest experience
- Manage inventory and product control for the pastry department
