Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- 2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to develop and train staff
- Capability to manage budgets and inventory
- Commitment to exceptional customer service
- Available to work full time at The Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City, Arlington, Virginia
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant culinary or food and beverage experience
- OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to develop and train culinary staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Creative baking and pastry skills
Job Duties
- Lead and manage the pastry culinary team including supervising employees and handling day-to-day operations
- Personally prepare food items and execute pastry requests to required specifications
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and storage standards
- Develop new pastry products and creative food presentations
- Maintain purchasing, inventory, and cost control in line with budget goals
- Provide exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction
- Train, develop, and coach employees for improved performance and adherence to standards
