Job Requirements
- must be 18 years of age or older
- ability to read and speak basic English
- ability to work in temperatures ranging from -10 to 100 degrees
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- ability to stand or walk for at least 8 hours
- ability to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach frequently
- availability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- punctuality and adherence to safety and hygiene protocol
Job Qualifications
- experience in bench hand production
- thorough knowledge of baking ingredients, equipment, weights, and measures
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- excellent math skills
- basic computer and software skills
- ability to take direction
- ability to taste and evaluate products for quality
- ability to work well independently and in a team
- ability to learn safe usage of bakery equipment
Job Duties
- mix doughs correctly and weigh/measure accurately using scales
- know correct mixing order
- be accurate in mixing, dividing, shaping, proofing, and baking to ensure consistency in daily production
- understand and follow all recipes and instructions
- communicate daily production needs with bakery team members
- operate and sanitize bakery equipment safely
- follow health, sanitation, and Kosher procedures
- keep accurate mix times and temperature logs
- remove trash and recycling
- attend all scheduled shifts, trainings, and meetings
