Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work in temperatures from -10 to 100 degrees
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to stand or walk at least 8 hours
  • Ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
  • Ability to read and speak basic English
  • Willingness to work rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to arrive on time and complete required trainings
  • Ability to follow health, sanitation, and Kosher procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in bench hand production
  • Thorough knowledge of baking ingredients, equipment, weights, and measures
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent math skills with ability to do on-the-fly calculations
  • Basic computer and software skills
  • Ability to take direction
  • Ability to taste and evaluate product quality
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and with others
  • Able to learn proper and safe usage of Hobart mixer, baler, knives and kitchen equipment

Job Duties

  • Know correct mixing order
  • Must be accurate in mixing, dividing, shaping, proofing, and baking to ensure consistency in daily production
  • Mix doughs correctly and weigh/measure accurately using scales
  • Understand and follow all recipes and instructions
  • Know location of all ingredients
  • Follow production schedule
  • Maintain clean work areas and equipment
  • Remove trash and recycling
  • Read and speak basic English
  • Operate and sanitize all equipment safely including mixers and water chillers
  • Follow health, sanitation, and Kosher procedures
  • Arrive to work on time, wear appropriate PPE, complete trainings, attend meetings
  • Understand GlobalBake software and print formulas
