Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work in temperatures from -10 to 100 degrees
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand or walk at least 8 hours
- Ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
- Ability to read and speak basic English
- Willingness to work rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to arrive on time and complete required trainings
- Ability to follow health, sanitation, and Kosher procedures
Job Qualifications
- Experience in bench hand production
- Thorough knowledge of baking ingredients, equipment, weights, and measures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent math skills with ability to do on-the-fly calculations
- Basic computer and software skills
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to taste and evaluate product quality
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and with others
- Able to learn proper and safe usage of Hobart mixer, baler, knives and kitchen equipment
Job Duties
- Know correct mixing order
- Must be accurate in mixing, dividing, shaping, proofing, and baking to ensure consistency in daily production
- Mix doughs correctly and weigh/measure accurately using scales
- Understand and follow all recipes and instructions
- Know location of all ingredients
- Follow production schedule
- Maintain clean work areas and equipment
- Remove trash and recycling
- Read and speak basic English
- Operate and sanitize all equipment safely including mixers and water chillers
- Follow health, sanitation, and Kosher procedures
- Arrive to work on time, wear appropriate PPE, complete trainings, attend meetings
- Understand GlobalBake software and print formulas
