Job Requirements
- Education or training in baking or culinary arts preferred
- Previous experience working as a pastry baker or in a related baking environment
- Food safety certification mandatory
- Ability to follow recipes and standardized baking procedures accurately
- Physical fitness to safely perform demanding duties
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to following safety and cleanliness standards
- Willingness to wear uniforms and PPE as required
Job Qualifications
- Background in baking or a similar role
- Sound understanding of baking practices, norms, and regulations for ensuring food safety
- Certification to secure food safety certification
- Fundamental abilities in mathematics and counting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
- Physical ability to complete tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged walking or standing
- Willingness to adhere to uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines
Job Duties
- Use standardized recipes and production guidelines to prepare a range of baked goods
- Get your baking station ready with all the necessary tools and ingredients
- Arrange the elements through measuring, weighing, blending, dicing, and other necessary tasks
- Utilize baking appliances such as ovens, cooktops, and mixers
- Follow safety guidelines when using kitchen utensils, particularly knives, during food prep
- Ensure that food is stored correctly by following established policies and procedures
- Properly clean and sanitize workspaces, tools, and utensils once they have been used
- Provide stellar customer service and display a positive attitude when dealing with guests, clients, customers, coworkers, and others
- Abide by Aramark safety measures, which include following established protocols for food safety and cleanliness
- Secure company property by strictly observing designated security protocols
