Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in baking or pastry preparation preferred
- Food safety certification required
- Ability to follow recipes and production guidelines accurately
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle kitchen equipment and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction
- Commitment to maintaining hygiene and safety standards in food handling
- Availability to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Background in baking or a similar role
- Sound understanding of baking practices, norms, and regulations for ensuring food safety
- Mandatory food safety certification(s)
- Fundamental abilities in mathematics and counting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Physical capacity to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged walking/standing
- Willingness to adhere to uniform and PPE guidelines
Job Duties
- Use standardized recipes and production guidelines to prepare a range of baked goods
- Get your baking station ready with all the necessary tools and ingredients
- Arrange the elements through measuring, weighing, blending, dicing, and other necessary tasks
- Utilize baking appliances such as ovens, cooktops, and mixers
- Follow safety guidelines when using kitchen utensils, particularly knives, during food prep
- Ensure that food is stored correctly by following established policies and procedures
- Properly clean and sanitize workspaces, tools, and utensils once they have been used
- Provide stellar customer service and display a positive attitude when dealing with guests, clients, customers, coworkers, and others
- Abide by Aramark safety measures, which include following established protocols for food safety and cleanliness
- Secure company property by strictly observing designated security protocols
