Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in professional baking or culinary environment
  • valid food safety certification
  • physical capability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged walking or standing
  • ability to follow safety protocols and food handling guidelines
  • willingness to wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment
  • effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • background in baking or a similar role
  • sound understanding of baking practices, norms, and regulations for ensuring food safety
  • mandatory food safety certification
  • fundamental abilities in mathematics and counting
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills through written and verbal means
  • ability to perform physical tasks like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged walking or standing
  • willingness to wear uniforms and adhere to PPE guidelines

Job Duties

  • use standardized recipes and production guidelines to prepare a range of baked goods
  • get your baking station ready with all the necessary tools and ingredients
  • arrange the elements through measuring, weighing, blending, dicing, and other necessary tasks
  • utilize baking appliances such as ovens, cooktops, and mixers
  • follow safety guidelines when using kitchen utensils, particularly knives, during food prep
  • ensure that food is stored correctly by following established policies and procedures
  • properly clean and sanitize workspaces, tools, and utensils once they have been used
