Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in professional baking or culinary environment
- valid food safety certification
- physical capability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged walking or standing
- ability to follow safety protocols and food handling guidelines
- willingness to wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment
- effective communication skills
Job Qualifications
- background in baking or a similar role
- sound understanding of baking practices, norms, and regulations for ensuring food safety
- mandatory food safety certification
- fundamental abilities in mathematics and counting
- strong interpersonal and communication skills through written and verbal means
- ability to perform physical tasks like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged walking or standing
- willingness to wear uniforms and adhere to PPE guidelines
Job Duties
- use standardized recipes and production guidelines to prepare a range of baked goods
- get your baking station ready with all the necessary tools and ingredients
- arrange the elements through measuring, weighing, blending, dicing, and other necessary tasks
- utilize baking appliances such as ovens, cooktops, and mixers
- follow safety guidelines when using kitchen utensils, particularly knives, during food prep
- ensure that food is stored correctly by following established policies and procedures
- properly clean and sanitize workspaces, tools, and utensils once they have been used
