- must have and maintain an active management level food handler's certification (ServSafe)
- adhere to local food handler requirements

Job Qualifications
- culinary degree preferred but not required
- 1-2 years of experience in high volume production of baked goods or comparable experience
- baking experience is essential

Job Duties
- prepares, bakes, cooks, and serves various pastries, cookies and breads
- accommodates special needs of the guests by preparing nut free, gluten free and vegan varieties
- measures and combines ingredients using mixers, blenders, and heat sources
- collaborates on menu ideas
- responsible for recurring inventories
- supports ordering process for pastry needs
- supplies ingredients to café admin for food cards and menus
- ensures the accuracy and completeness of food cards and menus
- responsible for food quality and production
- checks quantities of desserts displayed and replenishes as necessary
- transports dry, wet, and finished products using carts
- follows safety and sanitation procedures following OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk Management guidelines
- decorates and displays finished products as per menu standards
- tracks and documents sanitation, time, and temperature holding
- engages positively with guests to improve customer experience
- understands allergens and dietary restrictions
- participates in teamwork
- ensures quality inspections on ingredients and products
- may deliver baked goods to other locations
- performs other duties as assigned
