Job Requirements
- Must have and maintain an active Management Level Food Handler's Certification (ServSafe)
- Adhere to local food handler requirements
- Maintain exceptional punctuality and attendance
- Consistently perform duties responsibly and efficiently
- Be able to collaborate with teams and support other locations when needed
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Able to work in fast-paced, temperature-controlled kitchen environments
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree preferred but not required
- 1-2 years of experience in high volume baking production or comparable experience
- Baking experience essential
- Moderate kitchen skills and etiquette
- Strong communication, time management, resource management and planning skills
- Ability to multitask
- Attention to detail especially in quality inspections
- Basic math skills
- Professional appearance
- Ability to work independently or with management
- Familiarity with food safety standards
Job Duties
- Prepares, bakes, cooks, and serves various pastries, cookies and breads
- Accommodates special dietary needs by preparing nut free, gluten free and vegan varieties
- Measures and combines ingredients using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment
- Collaborates on menu ideas
- Responsible for recurring inventories
- Supports ordering process by supplying pastry specific needs
- Ensures food cards and menus are accurate and complete
- Maintains food quality and production standards
- Checks and replenishes dessert quantities
- Transports products between freezer/refrigerator and work areas
- Follows safety and sanitation procedures according to OSHA and health guidelines
- Decorates and displays finished products per menu standards
- Tracks sanitation, time and temperature holding, and completion of duties
- Engages positively with guests to improve customer experience
- Understands menu allergens and dietary restrictions
- Participates in teamwork
- Tastes ingredients and finished goods for quality control
- Delivers baked goods to other locations as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
