Job Requirements
- must have and maintain active Management Level Food Handler's Certification (ServSafe)
- comply with local food handler regulations
- maintain punctuality and attendance
- perform duties responsibly and efficiently
- able to collaborate and offer flexible scheduling when needed
- authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- culinary degree preferred but not required
- 1-2 years experience in high volume baking production or comparable experience
- strong communication skills
- time and resource management skills
- ability to multitask and work independently or with management
- professional appearance
- attention to detail
- basic math skills
Job Duties
- prepares, bakes, cooks, and serves various pastries, cookies and breads
- accommodates special needs of guests by preparing nut free, gluten free and vegan varieties
- measures and combines ingredients using mixers, blenders and heat sources
- collaborates on menu ideas
- conducts recurring inventories
- supports ordering process for pastry needs
- supplies ingredients for food cards and menus
- ensures food card and menu accuracy
- maintains food quality and production standards
- checks and replenishes dessert quantities
- transports products between freezer, refrigerator and kitchen
- follows OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk Management safety and sanitation guidelines
- decorates and displays finished products
- tracks sanitation, time, and temperature holding
- engages positively with guests
- understands menu allergens and dietary restrictions
- participates in teamwork
- tastes ingredients and finished goods
- may deliver baked goods to other locations
- performs other duties as assigned
