Job Requirements

  • Must have and maintain an active Management Level Food Handler's Certification (ServSafe)
  • Adhere to local food handler requirements
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance
  • Consistently perform all duties responsibly and efficiently
  • Able to support other teams during short staffing with flexible scheduling
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree preferred but not required
  • 1-2 years of experience in high volume baking production or comparable experience
  • Baking experience is essential
  • Moderate kitchen skills and etiquette
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask efficiently
  • Attention to detail particularly in quality control
  • Basic math skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Job Duties

  • Prepare, bake, cook, and serve various pastries, cookies and breads
  • Accommodate special dietary needs by preparing nut free, gluten free and vegan varieties
  • Measure and combine ingredients using mixers, blenders, heat sources and other equipment
  • Collaborate on menu ideas and support inventory and ordering processes
  • Ensure food quality, production standards, and accurate food cards and menus
  • Check dessert quantities and replenish displays as needed
  • Follow safety, sanitation and food handling procedures according to OSHA and health department guidelines
  • Engage positively with guests and contribute to team efforts
  • Taste and inspect ingredients and finished products for quality
