Job Requirements

  • Must have an active Management Level Food Handler's Certification (ServSafe) and adhere to local food handler requirements
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance
  • Ability to perform duties efficiently and responsibly
  • Able to collaborate and support teams during short staffing
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to work in fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Willingness to work Monday to Friday, 5:45 am to 1:45 pm
  • No weekend work
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree preferred but not required
  • 1-2 years of high volume baking production experience or comparable
  • Baking experience essential
  • Moderate kitchen skills and etiquette
  • Strong communication skills
  • Time and resource management skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepares, bakes, cooks, and serves various pastries, cookies and breads
  • Accommodates special needs of guests by preparing nut free, gluten free and vegan varieties
  • Measures and combines ingredients using mixers, blenders, ovens and other equipment
  • Collaborates on menu ideas
  • Responsible for recurring inventories and supporting ordering processes
  • Ensures accuracy of food cards and menus
  • Maintains food quality and production standards
  • Checks quantities of desserts and replenishes when necessary
  • Uses carts to transport products
  • Follows safety and sanitation procedures according to OSHA and local health guidelines
  • Decorates and displays finished products
  • Tracks sanitation, time and temperature holding
  • Engages positively with guests
  • Understands menu allergens and dietary restrictions
  • Participates in teamwork
  • Tastes ingredients and finished goods for quality control
  • May deliver baked goods to other locations
  • Performs other assigned duties as needed
